Weekly Menu Plan // What’s on Your List?

Shop List

One of the best ways to save money on your grocery bill is to utilize current grocery store ads.  Start by comparing ads from different grocery stores in your area, making a list of sale items.  Next, take an inventory of your pantry, refrigerator and freezer and make a list of what you already have on hand.

You are now ready to pick recipes that contain items from each of your lists.  Some of the  sale items in grocery store ads in my area are:

  • Chicken Breasts
  • QuinoaGrocery Shopping 3
  • Broccoli
  • Mushrooms
  • Leaf Lettuce
  • Apples
  • Grapes
  • Shredded Cheese
  • Cherry Tomatoes
  • Italian Dressing
  • Whole Wheat Bread
  • Mix & Match Produce Bag (potatoes, zucchini, carrots, bell peppers, cucumbers)

These sale items can be used in the six recipes below or served on the side to make a MyPlate meal. Use these recipes for your evening meals throughout the week.  On the seventh day of the week give yourself a break from cooking and plan to eat leftovers.
